Rhythm
With this composition I used photos to create a gif that represents rhythm. The photos follow a pattern where my hair style repeats 'left, top, right' creating a rhythm between the hair styles and the red scrunchie. The repetition of the similar facial expressions and the eye movement following the scrunchie add to the pattern and rhythm in the photo sequence in the gif. (If the gif doesn't work I put up the photos separately)

Unity
Art supplies, drawing utensils, tools, things I have a lot of and have been using most of my life. All of these utensils shown in the photos are art utensils that are handheld/ used by the hand. They are all different, either by shape, size, purpose, or color. Some have the same use like paintbrushes but other different such as charcoal and exacto blades. However this is a representation of unity, they are unified by the fact that they are all art tools, they are all used by the hand, and all have a generally unified shape. A circle is also a symbol of unity and the art tools are formed into a circle to further express their unity. They all have a generalized purpose, to be used to make art.

Variety
These photos are of the candles I have in my apartment. I decided to collect the scattered candles and put them all together in one composition. These photos show the variety of colors, shapes, and types of candles  I have around the house. Here they are arranged together in a way to show there similarities and differences and the varieties they come in.

Living Design Performance 2

Balance
For my second composition I took a look at my dresser and the things on it. I took all the books and stacked them on top of each other horizontally. Then I placed the objects based on size and shape around or on top of the stack of books to create an almost symmetrical composition, giving it a sense of balance between all the objects (even the framed painting on the wall).

Focal Point
For my first composition I chose to re-design items vital to my morning routine, my coffee K-cups. They usually sit all jumbled in boxes so I took them out and studied them. I looked for patterns in colors and shapes and decided to form new patterns connecting the designs on the K-cups. The House blend coffees make a unifying shape when connecting the yellow wavy lines in the design on them and the Green Mountain Coffee makes a green ring when connecting them in a circle around the House blend coffees. The K-cups then create concentric circles both on the tops of the K-cups and with the K-cups themselves. Then, to add a focal point, since coffee is a focal point of my morning, I added an upside down K-cup in the very center of the rings creating a white spot. The aerial view looks like looking into a coffee mug itself, with the green ring the rim of the mug, the brown House blend tops the coffee, and the white spot the creamer going into the coffee.

3D to 2D Frogzilla Returns!

For my 3D to 2D project I wanted to make something comedic so I used photoshop to incorporate my soap sculpture into a corny horror film poster called "Frogzilla Returns!".
